If your electric usage varies widely from month to month or from season to season, Budget Billing for residential customers and Predictabill for business customers allow you to spread your ComEd electric service costs evenly throughout the year.
Here's How Budget Billing and Predictabill Work:
- Your enrollment will begin with your next bill.
- You will be billed a pre-arranged amount each month based on energy use during the prior 12 month budget cycle.
- Your budget amount will be reviewed within the first 2 months and could adjust based on actual usage.
- After the initial review, the amount will be reviewed every six months and adjusted if needed to keep the payment in line with actual usage.
In order to go on the budget plan your account must be paid up to date. Continued participation requires that payments be made on or before the due date each month. You will automatically be removed from the Budget Billing or Predictabill program if you have two consecutive late payments or have three late payments within 12 months.
The Budget Billing credit/debit balance will be included in the calculation at the annual review for the new Budget Billing payment amount. If you prefer to have the credit/debit balance applied to your account, you may contact 1-800-EDISON1 after enrollment.
