Non-profit Special Hardship Program

ComEd understands some organizations face hardships, making it difficult for them to pay their electric bills. That is why we are proud to lend a hand through the Nonprofit Special Hardship program, providing grants of up to $2,000, once every two years, to eligible non-profit organizations who have fallen behind on their electric bills and face possible disconnection of their electric service.

As of September 30, 2015, ComEd CARE funds are exhausted for the remainder of the year. Program funds will be available beginning January 1, 2016.
