Retro-Commissioning (RCx) optimizes the energy performance of your facility to improve your bottom line while ensuring a comfortable environment for building occupants. With a well-executed RCx project, your facility can save an average of 5-10 percent on annual electric bills. Receive a fully-funded study performed by a ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Provider to identify no-and low-cost operational improvements of your building’s existing energy-using systems. You may also qualify for incentives based on the energy savings achieved at your facility. ComEd also partners with your natural gas utility to seek natural gas as well as electric savings where available.
There are four options for retro-commissioning, tailored to the needs of various businesses. View options to determine which best fits your facility.

Funds are limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Effective January 1, 2018, the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program is responsible for verifying that an Energy Efficiency Service Provider or installing contractor is certified by the ICC for the installation of applicable measures prior to any incentive or rebate payout. Beginning June 1, 2019, ComEd will be responsible for verifying that certified Energy Efficiency Service Providers or installing contractors are recertified with the ICC. Payment will be withheld if the installing contractor is not re-certified by June 1st each year. This does not apply to customers who choose to self-install the applicable measure(s). For more information concerning the ICC certification and re-certification requirements, instructions and rules can be found at: ICC EE Installer Certification.
