The ComEd Energy Efficiency Program can help overcome the unique barriers to energy efficiency projects faced by multi-tenant building managers, providing resources and guidance to ensure that both building owners and tenants benefit from investments in energy efficiency.
The Building Performance with ENERGY STAR® framework puts buildings on a path to continuous improvement:
Call 1-855-433-2700 and request a Facility Assessment. A ComEd energy engineer will assess your facility and equipment for potential electrical savings during a two-hour site walkthrough.
Within a month, you will receive a high-level summary recommending energy-saving changes and upgrades that can improve the energy efficiency of your business.
After you have decided which energy-saving improvements you want to make, consult the ComEd Energy Efficiency Service Provider
Directory to find a contractor who can provide the products and services you need and help you apply for ComEd Energy Efficiency Program incentives.
Funds are limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Effective January 1, 2018, the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program is responsible for verifying that an Energy Efficiency Service Provider or installing contractor is certified by the ICC for the installation of applicable measures prior to any incentive or rebate payout.
Beginning June 1, 2019, ComEd will be responsible for verifying that certified Energy Efficiency Service Providers or installing contractors are recertified with the ICC. Payment will be withheld if the installing contractor is not re-certified by June 1st each year. This does not apply to customers who choose to self-install the applicable measure(s). For more information concerning the ICC certification and re-certification requirements, instructions and rules can be found at: ICC EE Installer Certification.
