ComEd customers have opportunities to reduce energy usage with a FREE energy assessment that includes free and discounted products for your home. Assessments can be in-home or virtual, so you can select the option most convenient to you.
You can also schedule an assessment by calling 1-855-433-2700. After completing the screening process, you will be scheduled for an assessment and income eligible customer homes will be evaluated for additional energy efficiency retrofits.

Energy efficiency retrofits with weatherization improvements are available to certain eligible customers. Qualifying customers must meet additional criteria, including but not limited to household income eligibility requirements.

ENERGY STAR® certified LEDsWe will replace the incandescent and halogen light bulbs throughout your home with ENERGY STAR® certified LED bulbs Produce even lighting while using less energy with a 25,000 hour average bulb life. Certain restrictions apply.
Programmable and ENERGY STAR® certified Smart thermostats*We will replace the manual thermostat in your home with a free programmable or smart thermostat. We will also help you to program your existing thermostat if you already have a programmable thermostat. Gain convenience and control over your home’s living temperature. Certain restrictions apply. If criteria for free smart thermostats does not apply to you, you can purchase smart thermostats at a discounted price.
WaterSense® certified showerheads & showerhead flow reducers Experience more consistent water temperature and pressure at a reduced flow rate with upgraded energy efficient showerheads. Certain restrictions apply.
WaterSense® certified faucet aerators for bathrooms and kitchens Get consistent water pressure at a reduced flow rate. Save water and energy with upgraded energy efficient aerators. Certain restrictions apply.
Hot water pipe insulationReceive up to six feet of hot water pipe with insulation. Reduce heat loss while protecting your pipes from freezing and sweating. Certain restrictions apply.
Advanced Power Strips* Advanced power strips save energy by reducing the amount of standby power wasted by your home office and entertainment systems. FREE to qualifying customers or customers that complete a virtual home assessment. If the criteria for free advanced power strips does not apply to you, you can purchase advanced power strips for $10 each. Installation is not included.
Smart Socket Stay connected with your home anywhere at any time. Plug in appliances and devices to a WI-FI & Bluetooth Low Energy enabled smart socket to control with the ease of a smart device and reduce the amount of standby power wasted. Customers that opt for a virtual assessment may be eligible for a FREE smart socket. Certain restrictions apply.
Air Filter Replacement Receive an air filter replacement to improve the air you breathe. Remove harmful particulates keeping you safe from allergens and bacteria. Enhance the efficiency of your HVAC system. Air filters will be mailed for self-install. Certain restrictions apply.
*Certain eligibility restrictions may apply. Smart thermostats and advanced power strips are free to income eligible customers.Certain products are FREE to all customers while others are free only to income eligible customers. Customers who do not qualify as income eligible can still purchase these select products at discount with a co-pay. Products may be limited based on quantity caps, home needs, or availability. Customers living in single-family homes, two-flats, condos, mobile homes, manufactured homes, and townhomes are eligible for Home Energy Savings. Renters in these building types are also eligible, with permission from their landlord.
Tenants of multi-family buildings (three units or more) can learn about assessment offerings in the Multi-Family Energy Savings.
