The program helps you push your design further by offering both technical assistance and financial incentives for energy conservation measures. Working in conjunction with the gas utilities, the program offers a holistic approach to assisting your project.
We make it easy to design for greater energy savings. The ComEd Energy Efficiency Program new construction offering provides solutions that can help your facility generate long-term energy and cost savings.
Consult with experienced technical experts at no cost and receive one-time financial incentives for new construction or major renovation designed to exceed energy code requirements. Major renovations are eligible if including significant beyond-code upgrades to at least two major building systems. Additional funds are available for lead design firms that actively engage with the program. We provide recommendations, assistance and financial incentives for energy-saving improvements to all major building systems — envelope, HVAC equipment, lighting, commercial refrigeration and more.

Developers of income eligible single-family and multi-family new construction and major renovation projects are eligible for incentives and technical assistance through our affordable housing new construction offering. This offering provides a holistic performance standard improving envelope, HVAC, lighting, and hot water to improve comfort and reduce energy use increase indoor environmental quality. Builders of new construction single-family homes, duplexes, townhomes and 2-4 flats are eligible to receive $2000 per home in financial incentives for achieving best practice energy efficiency. Meet the program’s energy efficiency requirements including envelope, all-electric HVAC, heat pump water heating, lighting and appliances. Learn about additional clean energy strategies like solar power, electric vehicle charging, smart homes and induction cooking.

Funds are limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Prior to any incentive or rebate payout, the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program is responsible for verifying that an Energy Efficiency Service Provider or installing contractor is certified, and recertified by the ICC by June 1st each year, for the installation of applicable measures. This does not apply to customers who choose to self-install the applicable measure(s).
