ComEd can help you upgrade your facility with more energy-efficient equipment, and also improve the energy performance of equipment in place.

Step 1: Energy Assessment

A ComEd engineer will conduct a FREE on-site evaluation of your facility’s major systems, including lighting, HVAC, refrigeration and other equipment.

You will receive a report recommending energy-efficient upgrades that you can start working on immediately. The report also includes estimated energy savings, cost savings, project costs, available ComEd incentives and simple paybacks for each project.

Step 2: Improve Efficiency of Existing Equipment

ComEd can also help you improve the operations of your existing equipment to save energy while still providing desired environmental conditions for both shoppers and your merchandise. This process is called retro-commissioning (RCx).

At no cost to you, RCx provides a fully-funded engineering study of your operations valued at up to $25,000 as well as up to $10,000 in incentives based on energy savings achieved. A typical RCx project saves around five percent on annual electric bills.

Saving Energy Is as Easy as 1, 2, 3…

1. Participate in a FREE facility assessment and receive recommendations for equipment upgrades and available incentives.

2. Optimize the energy performance of your existing equipment through RCx.

3. Implement your chosen energy-saving upgrades to save money and energy!
