The Temporary Service Request is required for new construction and remodeling projects where permanent service is not applicable, such as for construction lighting or electricity to construction trailers on the worksite.
You will be required to submit a completed electric service application. Upon completion of the application, a dedicated ComEd representative will be assigned to your project. After ComEd receives confirmation that the project has passed municipal inspection, it can take anywhere from 4 to 16 weeks to complete the temporary electric service, depending on the amount of work required.
