As of 1/3/2022, ComEd gift certificates are no longer available for purchase. However, previously purchased gift certificates do not expire and may continue to be used to pay your ComEd utility bill. Redemption is easy. Simply print your name and write your ComEd account number on the gift certificate and mail it with your utility bill. The gift certificate amount will be applied towards your ComEd bill.

Disclosures: ComEd gift certificates may be redeemed only in connection with the payment of a ComEd utility bill. ComEd gift certificates may not be redeemed for cash. No other fees will be charged by ComEd for gift certificates that are mailed directly to ComEd. Payment through ComEd’s authorized agents may incur an additional service fee. ComEd gift certificates do not have an expiration date and may be redeemed in perpetuity. When a ComEd gift certificate is submitted to pay a ComEd utility bill and the value of that gift certificate exceeds the amount that the customer owes on his or her utility bill, ComEd will credit the customer’s account with the unused balance of the gift certificate amount. ComEd is not responsible for gift certificates mailed via first-class mail (USPS). Gift certificates not received are considered lost and/or stolen.
