The ComEd Smart Meter Connected Devices (SMCD) service enables you to receive electricity usage and estimated electricity cost information through a smart device that is wirelessly connected to the ComEd smart meter at your home. With access to more information about your electricity usage, you can make changes that can help you manage your electric bills.

There are a variety of smart devices available, the most common of which are In-Home Displays (IHDs). IHDs are table-top devices that allow you to view your electricity usage and estimated electricity cost information shortly after electricity is used. Other smart devices that may communicate with the smart meter at your home include controllable thermostats, range extenders and Internet gateways. See the
