Are you an architect, engineer or developer looking to incorporate budget-friendly, energy-efficient measures into your public sector, commercial or industrial new construction projects? Are you a property owner or facility manager seeking to optimize building performance for a major renovation? The ComEd® Energy Efficiency Program can help you save money and energy through comprehensive building modeling services at no cost to you.
ComEd’s new construction offering provides technical assistance and financial incentives to enable building developers and design teams to exceed standard energy code requirements.
The best time to identify high-performance building design strategies and technologies is at the beginning of the design process. To qualify for incentives, applications must be submitted early in the design process—ideally during the concept development or schematic design stage.

Effective January 1, 2018, the ComEd Energy Efficiency Program is responsible for verifying that an Energy Efficiency Service Provider or installing contractor is certified by the ICC for the installation of applicable measures prior to any incentive or rebate payout.
Beginning June 1, 2019, ComEd will be responsible for verifying that certified Energy Efficiency Service Providers or installing contractors are recertified with the ICC. Payment will be withheld if the installing contractor is not re-certified by June 1st each year. This does not apply to customers who choose to self-install the applicable measure(s). For more information concerning the ICC certification and re-certification requirements, instructions and rules can be found at: ICC EE Installer Certification.
